In a recent interview, he stressed that his focus is “improving financial performance and accelerating the advancement of the ONE2030 strategy.”

In fact, ONE disclosed in August that, due to rising freight rates and strong cargo demand, it expects revenue of approximately US$19.4 billion, EBITDA of approximately US$3.6 billion, EBIT of approximately US$1.1 billion, and net profit of approximately US$900 million for FY2026.

Meanwhile, he pointed out that the goal is “to expand its container ship capacity from approximately 2.2 million TEU at present to 3 million TEU by 2030.”

He emphasized, “To achieve this goal, ONE will continue to order new ships and secure chartered vessels to build a cost-competitive fleet. At the same time, ONE plans to strengthen its presence in fast-growing emerging markets such as Africa, India and Latin America, while further improving its service quality in Japan and Asia, where ONE already has competitive advantages, and seeking to expand market share.”

According to the latest Alphaliner data, among the world’s top 100 liner companies by capacity, ONE ranks sixth globally, operating 271 vessels, including 111 owned vessels and 160 chartered vessels, with total capacity reaching 2.18 million TEU. In addition, ONE has 47 newbuilding orders on hand, totaling 58.4 TEU in newbuilding orders.
