According to ShippingChina, APM Terminals recently announced the appointment of Vincent Flamant as CEO of Vietnam’s Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal (HHIT).

Specifically, APM Terminals has recruited from rival Asyad Ports an executive who has led a key terminal. Since 2024, Vincent Flamant had served as CEO of Asyad Ports, driving the development and construction of the Duqm Container Terminal in Oman.

Notably, early in his career, he spent seven years as Chief Commercial Officer at APM Terminals Aqaba in Jordan. He also served as CEO of the San Pedro Industrial Terminal in Côte d’Ivoire, a terminal partly owned by A.P. Moller Capital.

Vietnam’s HHIT terminal is one of the newest additions to APM Terminals. According to follow-up reports by ShippingChina, APM Terminals and Vietnam’s Hateco Group signed an agreement with Da Nang City, Vietnam, to invest approximately US$1.7 billion to develop, build and operate the Lien Chieu Port container terminal.

Jon Goldner, APM Terminals’ Head of Asia and Middle East, said, “We welcome Vincent Flamant back to APM Terminals, where he will contribute his expertise to one of our most important terminals.”

He noted, “We believe HHIT can deliver on its commitment to provide smarter, greener and more efficient logistics solutions, boost regional trade development and support economic growth across the region.”
