According to CCTV News, the second China-made large cruise ship, AIDA Huacheng, successfully completed its dry dock flooding and flotation on March 14. After floating, the ship was moved to the forward dock area for an inclination test. This test is a key technical process in the ship’s launch, allowing for the measurement of its weight and center of gravity, which are closely related to the vessel’s stability, safety, and passenger comfort.

The dry dock operation is scheduled to last seven days, during which the ship will undergo additional tests, including lifeboat detachment trials and in-dock cruising. These tests aim to verify the performance of the 18 large lifeboats and 2 rescue boats under normal and emergency conditions.
